Sun-Ling and John have been traveling the earth since 2008 while blogging, eating vegetarian and vegan, and riding public transportation. We love uphill day hikes, 20th-century architecture, Roman ruins, all bodies of water, local markets, shopping for groceries, aqueducts, miradors, trip planning, blablacar, and more.

We don't know how we will continue
We are scheduled to go into Ecuador in less than three weeks. With the latest unrest in Ecuador, the Colombia/Ecuador border has been closed, not that we want to get into Ecuador in a hurry. We should just be glad that we are not already there.
Wow - amazing what you can miss by not watching TV! Glad you're both safe in Columbia (who'd have thought you could say that a few years back?) - a quick check on the BBC web site suggests it MIGHT blow over in a few days. Good luck!drigh
The borders have been reopened again. I just hope that Ecuador stabilizes soon. People need to learn to get along and be civilized, so us travelers can get around safely and happily :)
