Having revved up our metabolism in Ajijic, we were ready to make our rounds to the vegetarian restaurants in Guadalajara. There were not enough days to try just all the ones nearby. We were so busy sampling them, didn't get a chance to return to any of them.
- Jia Xiang Tofu: Chinese, lunch plate, super value
- Chicozapote: Mostly tacos
- El Jardin: All-you-can-eat buffet, including quesadilla bar
- Choclo y Maiz: varied Mexican
- El Vegano Urbano: taqueria
- Garbanzo de a libra: bean/veggie bowl
- La Flaca: varied Mexican
- Alta Fibra 370-B: traditional Mexican cafeteria lunch plate
- Comalli Cooperativa: pay-as-you-wish lunch plate, a little ad hoc
- Dalias: tasty enough food, terrible service, never to return
On Saturday and Sunday evenings, in Parque Expiatorio, there are various food vendors, many are very vegetarian friendly, Tia Ofe Pozole Vegano is strictly vegan.
