After an easy trio of flights, with perfect left-side views of central Lisbon and the long white streak of the Pyrenees, we are in Barcelona. Although we didn't seem that tired we slept for over 14 hours last night; hoping that we aren't TOO rested and will sleep tonight. ;-)
Today we took a long walk from the El Born district up to Eixample and back. Our experiences today: signature Barcelona architecture, processions honoring St Eulalia , and nighttime light shows; will continue over the next few days. Stay tuned. We are just getting warmed up.
Eixample Architecture.
St Eulalia Festival procession in El Born.
Light show at El Born Cultural Center.
Sun-Ling and John have been traveling the earth since 2008 while blogging, eating vegetarian and vegan, and riding public transportation. We love uphill day hikes, 20th-century architecture, Roman ruins, all bodies of water, local markets, shopping for groceries, aqueducts, miradors, trip planning, blablacar, and more.

Glad you made it OK.
My, oh, my, you slip in and out of here like the wind. I didn't know you were on the road again until this stream woke up. Concur with Kathy, happy to hear you arrived safely. Good fortune!
Kathy & Ed, thanks for the well wishes. It was a very quick planning session at home, very speedy jetlag recovery, worn out in no time. I am now getting my second wind, haha!
Oh my gosh, I didn't realize you were already traveling again, either! Buen viaje!!
