Lovely Annecy

We are beginning to make our way to Italy. At the end of October/beginning of November, we deemed Chamonix too cold, but thought we would give Annecy a look. Annecy has a very cute old town. Being the All Saints Day long weekend, the place was very lively and the weather was particularly warm. Everyone was having a good time.

Annecy sits on the northern shore of Lake Annecy. The lake has a wonderful promenade with trails leading up into the mountains.










Canals flow through the old town and connect Lake Annecy with the Rhone River.
















Many folks were out and about enjoying the warm holiday weekend; some strolling through town and many walking or cycling along the lake.
