On our second full day in Bergamo we rode the bus to the Village of San Pellegrino Terme, home of the well known beverage company, and enjoyed checking out the Art Nouveau buildings including the Grand Hotel, and Casinò Municipale which is now the upscale QC Terme/Spa.
We catch a glimpse of the San Pellegrino bottling plant from the bus.
The Funicolari up to La Vetta, a village above San Pellegrino Terme.
However the funicolari was not running so we walked up. I was a bit under-the-weather and happy to grab some water at the top.
The Art Nouveau Grand Hotel of San Pellegrino.
Some photos in and around the Casino which is now an upscale spa.
And a few more shots of the "under renovation" Grand Hotel
Sun-Ling and John have been traveling the earth since 2008 while blogging, eating vegetarian and vegan, and riding public transportation. We love uphill day hikes, 20th-century architecture, Roman ruins, all bodies of water, local markets, shopping for groceries, aqueducts, miradors, trip planning, blablacar, and more.
