The first family event of the trip is a sort of makeup wedding banquet for my cousin's son. He is the first of the their generation (my paternal grandparents' great grandchildren) to get married. This is the first gathering of the extended family since their September wedding. Everyone was impressed by the elegant venue, a distinct departure from the standard 10-12 person tables.
The banquet table!

Sun-Ling with her cousin's daughter. Same coats!
Sun-Ling and another cousin's daughter. She loved the doll SL gave her.
Sun-Ling and John have been traveling the earth since 2008 while blogging, eating vegetarian and vegan, and riding public transportation. We love uphill day hikes, 20th-century architecture, Roman ruins, all bodies of water, local markets, shopping for groceries, aqueducts, miradors, trip planning, blablacar, and more.

Love the photos. Good looking family. Beautiful banquet table as you so captioned.
Thanks Ed! As you can see we have managed to poke a hole in the Great Firewall and get a few posts up, but it's not easy. Whew! Looking forward to arriving Taiwan in a few days. Warmer too!
Oh my gosh - the banquet tables are stunning! Surprised to see the matching coats.
