Our spin in the southern California desert was just the appetizer for the main course; the wedding in San Diego of the son of my life long friends John and Mary Zimmerman.
We rented a house in Coronado for the weekend just a few blocks from the iconic Coronado Beach Hotel.
The wedding and reception were nearby on NAS North Island.
Sun-Ling and I with old friends Dave and Marybeth Merrill who also came from the east coast for the wedding, and shared the house with us.
Kyle and wedding party waiting for the bride.
Here comes Katie.
Husband and wife.
The arrival of the happy couple.
First Dance Video.
Father of the bride, Chris Plummer, makes a speech.
Sisters of the bride (left). Brother of the groom (right). All gave heartfelt speeches and toasts.
Father/Daughter dance.
Mother/Son dance.
We all dance. I believe that at one point everyone, old and young, was on the dance floor.
Popsicles, not cake.
So long San Diego.
Sun-Ling and John have been traveling the earth since 2008 while blogging, eating vegetarian and vegan, and riding public transportation. We love uphill day hikes, 20th-century architecture, Roman ruins, all bodies of water, local markets, shopping for groceries, aqueducts, miradors, trip planning, blablacar, and more.
