In between museum visits, we walked all over the place. As with our first Paris visit in the 1990's, I marveled at the range of produce at neighborhood grocers. This time, it was all the mushrooms. I regret not having taken an apartment with a kitchen.
One day we walked up to the Terrace at Galeries Lafayette for a view of the city. Awesome!
And the interior atrium (and its dome) of the Galeries Lafayette is pretty spiffy as well.
"Stroll on the Seine, at least twice per day."
Lunch view.
Jardin du Luxembourg on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Now I understand why more than several friends have told me

The Left Bank a la Rick Steves self-guided walking tour. ;-)
The very stylish Art Nouveau Samaritaine Department Store interior.
Pompidou Centre.
Baguette John.
Sun-Ling and John have been traveling the earth since 2008 while blogging, eating vegetarian and vegan, and riding public transportation. We love uphill day hikes, 20th-century architecture, Roman ruins, all bodies of water, local markets, shopping for groceries, aqueducts, miradors, trip planning, blablacar, and more.
